We offer for sale an exceptionally high quality art object of traditional Chinese carving, known as the "Imperial Altar".
Material and workmanship:
bottom plates and fence made of real bone (verified by material test)
wooden structure dated by material analysis to around 1930 ± 20 years
detailed and precise carving of imperial quality
Origin according to oral tradition:
According to the handed-down narrative, the original owner was supposed to be the Chinese Emperor Phu I Suan-tong, the last ruler of the Qing Dynasty. This origin has not yet been professionally documented.
