Original watercolor and pencil on "Venus etayee" paper. This piece is attributed to Salvador Dalí (1904–1989) of Spain. The drawing measures 29 x 22.2 cm and is signed in the lower left corner. Provenance: Juan Mordo Gallery, Madrid; private collection, Paris; E. Engelberts Gallery, Geneva; Roland Browse; and Delbanco Gallery, London.
Salvador Felip Jacint Dalí i Domènech was a Catalan painter who became famous for his surrealist works. He was accepted into the Paris Surrealist circle in 1929 after the filming of *Un Chien Andalou*, on which he collaborated with Luis Buñuel. He later parted ways with them because he was considered too commercial an artist.
